I’m a Board-Certified Adult-Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, a graduate of Armstrong Atlantic University, and the founder of Vancouver Direct Primary Care.
I started VDPC in 2021 on a simple conviction: you should have a provider who actually knows you. Not fifteen minutes with a stranger. Not a prescription handed over on the way out the door. Not a different face every visit.

Why I Built VDPC
For over a decade I looked after critically ill patients across multiple states. ICU-level emergencies, tangled chronic conditions, the cases where waiting was not an option. That work taught me an enormous amount about medicine. It also taught me what the system is actually optimized for, and it is not the person in the bed. It is volume.
Fifteen minutes, a prescription, and you are back in the parking lot. Your provider barely looked up from the screen, and you left with more questions than you arrived with.
I founded Vancouver Direct Primary Care in Vancouver, WA in 2021 as the alternative, and I am bringing that same standard of care to Portland, OR. Here you get a full hour. I answer messages within one business day. I know your name, your history, and what is actually going on in your life. None of that is a perk. It is what primary care was supposed to be.
