Getting Started at VDPC in Portland
Step 1, Enroll: Sign up through the link below. Membership runs month to month, and a single text is all it takes to end it.
Step 2, Schedule your first appointment: Once you are enrolled, instructions for booking that first visit come to you. Plan on 45–60 minutes, well past a standard primary care slot, which gives your provider room to take a thorough health history and see the whole picture.
Step 3, Get direct access: At that first visit your provider hands over their direct contact information. From then on, phone, text, or email reaches them for questions, prescription refills, lab results, or whatever else comes up.
How to Reach Your Provider
The hardest habit for new VDPC members to break is assuming they have to wait. Asking your provider a question does not require booking a formal appointment. Get in touch directly, and do it often.
Phone and text: You will get your provider’s direct number at that first visit. Use it freely.
Email: Email suits documentation requests and anything that is not urgent. A reply usually lands within one business day.
Video visits: Plenty of care travels perfectly well over video. Where there is no clinical need to come in, your provider may offer a virtual appointment, which is especially handy for follow-ups, medication adjustments, and questions that call for no physical exam.
In-person visits: For the times you truly need to be seen face to face, appointments at our Vancouver, WA clinic are available. Scheduling generally takes 2–4 business days.
